About Us
| Cara Pestorius is the founder of Open Door Advisory. She holds a BS and MBA in business. Her passions for writing and teaching led her to launch Open Door Advisory.Pestorius enjoys working with teens, and loves to help them open doors. After successfully running college essay writing seminars, Pestorius added the scholarship advisory to her menu of services. She also advises students on compiling the college list, reaching out to coaches, and all written aspects of the college application process.
Pestorius taught in a range of classrooms: from college (University of Cincinnati) to private (Pingry) to public (Bridgewater-Raritan) before she launched Open Door Advisory. A professional writer and meeting planner, Pestorius spent time writing the standardized PARCC test, developing blogs, and has been published in national newspapers and magazines. |
